My DC is always reporting the following errors in the
event viewer:

1) Registration of the DNS
record '_ldap._tcp.gc._msdcs.myDomain.com. 600 IN SRV 0
100 3268 server.myDomain.com.' failed with the following
error:
DNS operation refused.

2) A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL server
credential.

3) The master browser has received a server announcement
from the computer COMP5 that believes that it is the
master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_
{C3DFB7E2-8D07-479F-A. The master browser is stopping or
an election is being forced.

Pls help!

This usually means you are using your ISP's DNS in your IP properties. This
must be removed from all your machines (DCs and clients) and only use your
internal DNS ONLY. COnfigure a forwarder for efficient Internet resolution.
If the forwarding option is grayed out, delete the Root zone. This will show
you how to do both:

2) A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL server
credential.

Need to see the Event ID for this. Usually we can ignore this error.

This means that another server is trying to become the Master Browser. The
machine holding the PDC Emulator Role token is the Master Browser of a
domain. If that server is overloaded with services or is a slow machine,
then other faster machines will try to become the Master only to find out
that the actual Master when it eventually responds takes over by winning the
election and this error is generated.

Fix:
Move the PDC EMulator to a faster machine
or
Disable Browser election participation on your other machines (reg entry on
all W2k and XP machines)
or
Ignore the error.
Pls help!
