Is there a known problem with having a dial-in connection
enabled on a Win 2000 DC?
I have a DC configured to allow certain users to dial in
from home. The dial in connection, however, appears to be
holding its IP address and now, whenever I do an nslookup
on the server, both IP addresses are listed. The rogue IP
address also appears to be forcing the DC into an
election for the Master Browser, which has meant I have
had to move the Browser service onto anther server. Can
anyone advise?

It's not a good idea to run a DC as a RAS server.

The extra IP address is normal. The DC has a LAN address and it needs one
for RAS.
