I went to re-encode an MP3 file and I got a message about how I'll have to
pay and register in a day.

Is this great freeware program becoming payware?

I believe the program is still free, but the MP3 encoder is included on a
trial basis. From the website:

# 100% Free (mp3 encoder on trial license), No nags, popups, hidden spyware
or bundleware.

So you are presumably paying to continue to use the MP3 encoder. Get a
previous version that had a free MP3 encoder included, or set it up with a
freeware encoder perhaps?

Thanks. Do you have a link (or can you email to me) the previous version of
dbpoweramp?

I had no luck finding a previous version online. I can send you my older
copy -- 1.4 meg dl. Where to?
To reply to me, pull the "plug" before sending your msg. . .
