After helpful advice here recently I installed dBPowerAMP Converter
with the wmav9 codec and I'm delighted with it. It's very convenient,
as I can simply r-click a batch of MP3s to get them quickly converted.

There's one snag on which I'd appreciate help please. Every now and
again I *lose* that handy item from the r-click menu. I can still
convert by using Open With, or by loading up dBPowerAMP from the Start
menu or whatever. But the only way I've found to get it back into the
context menu is to run the setup program dBpowerAMP-codec-wmav9.exe
again.

I've so far not spotted any pattern or cause. Anyone have any
suggestions please? Could it perhaps be anything to do with changing
MP3 and WMA associations, as I've been experimenting with changing
them (mainly between WMP and MediaMonkey)?

No one with any suggestions please? This is becoming a real
aggravation - I'm having to reinstall every day or two.

You might have more luck approaching the dbPowerAmp creators.

Thanks, yes, I tried the dBPowerAMP Converter Forum as well as this
group. In case others end up here (you can't google to forums!),
here's the solution:

If a program changes the association of a wma file it will disappear;
need to re-run dMC Configuration to reinstate it.
