Dbl Click Box Size

I am having an issue - I have a high resolution desktop
selected - 1280x1024 on a smaller monitor (17") with the
mouse movement set to high acceleration.

When I double-click, I am often moving the cursor too many
pixels which causes explorer to consider the activity two
single clicks vice a double click.

I am unable to determine where I can enlarge the 'box'
that the double click will be recognized in.

Does anybody have any input?

OS = XP Pro

Maybe try moving the mouse speed down a notch or two? I am using the same
monitor setting as you are and have not had that trouble with my mouse. I
keep the click rate set at about 75% of full throttle. You might be able to
fine tune this a bit more using the Mouse settings in TweakUI for XP:
