DB crashing when running a certain report

I have an Access 2000 database that seems to be working fine except for one
thing - when I try to run a particular report I get an error (MSAccess.exe
has generated errors and will be closed by Windows). I've tried compact and
repair, running the /decompile switch on the DB, and even creating a new DB
and importing the data over using the Import function in Access, but no
luck.

Does anyone know what other steps I can take to fix this?

The report is probably based on a query?

It could be another Name AutoCorrect issue:

If not, tell us a bit more about the source query. JET crashes with some
subqueries.

A bad printer driver is also possible, though you might expect that to
affect other reports also. Access uses the metrics of the printer driver to
calculate the layout of the report.

It would also be worth checking that you have SP3 for Office 2000, and also
SP8 for JET 4. You can download both from the Downloads section at:
http://support.microsoft.com

I checked in the Name AutoCorrect issue, none of the boxes were checked so
I'm OK there. I did reinstall one of the printer drivers on our server last
week, so it may be possible that this is the source of the problem. Now
that I'm looking into it, I'm seeing that other reports are causing the
problem too, not just this one anymore. It only happens when I try to close
the report. It actually runs the report itself without any problems.

I didn't design this database and I'm not a programmer (just vanilla IT), so
I'm kind of out of my league here, but I have a (long) error report that may
point out the problem to someone who knows what to look for.
