In the past, my comp notified me about the change in time. This March
however, it did not. How to get the notifier back?

TIA

- Did it change the time for you?
- What flavor/version (specifcally) of Windows XP do you have?

Yes, it changed on my computer, sorry I did not make that clearer. Using XP
Home with SP3 and all latest critical updates.

Seems like it is working 'as designed' then.

If you were not sitting at your computer (even if you were - I was) at the
time the change was made - you might not notice anything other than suddenly
you had lost an hour of time. ;-)

Which I think was the crux of the original post. I think the question had
more to do with the notification of the change rather than the change
itself. The stealth change, as it is now, doesn't serve as a reminder to
reset all the other (non-PC) clocks as the notification once provided.

If you need your computer to remind you that the time changed, it's too
late. ;-)
(Or you should set an automatic reminder that emails you, calls you, sends
you a post card...)

Thanks for your advice however, I hope you see what I'm saying about the
original question.

I've noticed that MS likes to change how things work for no apparent
reason, and considers that a feature. That we shouldn't count on our
computer to remind us of something is not the point. That we have
become comfortable with a certain behavior that has changed, is.

It appears we've been upgraded? I didn't get any notification of the
time change but my time did change. My only guess is M$ thinks this is
better? So it goes.

The time change pop-up notice was probably removed due to user
complaints re being notified about something they are already
aware of.

When there was a notification, there was an easy way to disable it, if I
remember correctly.
