"day" not shown when i hover over notification area clock???

when i hover over the clock..the date and year are displayed but not
the day....if i expand the task bar to double... it will show the day
but not when i hover over it when its regular size.....can someone help
me fix this...i often forget what day of the week it is and would very
much like to fix this......i know its supposed to display.. thanks

Mine doesn't and I have never seen one do!
Just keep the taksbar double height, then you can see it all :-)

I have just had a fiddle :)
If you go to the regional and language options in the control panel
Click Customise
Click the Date tab
change the long date to dd MMMM yyyy dddd

I just hovered over the time, and saw "Thursday, June 8, 2006."
You might want to try again, Sparks.

More than likely your Regional Settings are already setup correctly for Long
Dates ... that is why you don't have the problem
