Daunting Project . . . Help!

Let me start by saying that I am new to the use of Access. I have quite a bit
of experience in Excel and VB use in Excel, but in Access . . . . nada!

Recently, a family member with a rather extensive estate passed away. My
brother and I have been designated to catalog and disperse a very large
collection of family heirlooms and possessions.

We plan to use Access to catalog and then distribute the items to all the
realtives that desire certain items or sell the ones that no one wants. When
an item is dispersed, we could use a bar code scanner to pull up the proper
item and credit it to whomever it belongs.

I would like to develop a user form that would allow us to simultaneously
take a web cam photo of the item and print a bar code label. If we need to
link an additional picture in a button that takes a second picture would be
helpful. We have all the equipment to do this: web cam, label printer,
laptop, . . . etc.

Having never done this sort of thing, I was wondering if anyone knew of a
tutorial or VB code that we could attach to the form to help us expedite this
process. If some commercial software add in could do the trick, that might be
possible too.

Thanks for any advice or help offered,

Will
