I'm working on spread sheets and all the 2001/2002/2003
dates show as 2004. Cells are formatted for MM-YY. How
do I correct this problem.

The format of a cell only affects how its value will be displayed, not how
you enter data into the cell. So, even if you format as mm-yy you must still
enter a valid date, which always includes a day. If you were just to type in
(say) 11-02 Excel would interpret this as 11th February in the current year
(or 2nd November, if your regional settings are US-style). Am I correct in
assuming that you are entering 11-02 and meaning November 2002 ? If so, you
can't do this. Enter as (say) 01-11-02.

.
Use a custom format as follows:
Format cell
Number
Custom
Enter MM-YYYY

You will get 01-2004
