Dates appear wrong

Hi,

I run vista cr1, and i noticed right from the start that file dates and
indeed almost every other date for anything shows as DD-09-YY (for example
now that its september) - instead of the proper date string.

Programs I previously wrote in vb6 run fine, but if they use dates in any
way they fail as the date is always returned as above. I have reported it
using the beta report tool but does anyone else get this?

Is there an easy fix or is it just my system?

Usefull replies much appreciated!

Hi Basil - thanks for the reply.

I noticed that in my wife's login / desktop the dates were ok - until i ran
a vb app!! then the dates all broke for anything supplied by the system
(clock, file dates etc) all report "DD-09-YY" now instead of proper
dates...now some business software i wrote doesn't work as it searches files
for dates and they all return this same string so they all match -
AAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

The dates have stayed broken too so what the hell could have changed after
running the app? It doesnt write to system files etc - but can't find anyone
else yet who has also had this.

Anybody run a vb app on vista yet and had dates break???

Does that mean you could use Vista RC1 for another 7 more years before it
quits working if you left it at 1999?
