Date Time Picker Control

I recently downloaded this control Version 6 (sp3) from Microsoft. Everytime
I add it to a form and associate it with the correct text box, I get the
following message:

Can't set value to null when checkbox property set to false"

If I remove the control the forms work fine, but would very much like to add
this specific control. Any ideas what I can do to prevent the error message?
I read through all of the other post relating to this that I could find but
nothing helped.

I am using access 2002 with windows xp. (However, I have access 2000, 2003,
and 2007 installed as well, if that makes a difference.) I need to do this in
2002.

I recall having problems with this MS control a few years back. I downloaded
Allen Browne's datepicker and haven't looked back since. You can find a list
of other datepickers here:

These are less hassle than the MS control and I believe they don't use Active-
X like MS which makes them better.

I knew that Microsoft's control just had to be too easy. Will try the other.
The idea with Microsoft looks good, but it just doesn't work.

Stay away from activeX controls, they will cause you headaches in the long
run. There are two good alterative that I have used without issue. Take a
look at

Both are easy to use and reliable! While you're on their websites take a
look around, both sites contains tons of valuable information.
