I sent a post in because when I added a date in a1 and the
the formula a1+1 in c3 I would get 01/01/00. Several
suggestions did not work. One that worked was to go to
the tool option transition tab and uncheck the worksheet
boxes. This solved the problem for the date formula-
worked well, however in the column sum cell a3:j3 I know
have # value and cannot find the error. Any ideas?

Arleen: Hi:
Suggestion; try adjusting column width. Not all of the entries in the other
cells will measure exactly to the current column width.
Hope that helps.

Is your date in A1 an numerical value or text -- meaning
what happens to it if you format it as a number? Dates
should really just be numbers, with a mask over them to
make them look like dates. For example, 37915 is today's
date. If you type this in Excel, then give it a date
format, that would be apparent. It sounds like you're
getting a #VALUE error because your date is not a number,
and thus Excel cannot add it. Let me know if the date is
not a number and I can help you to convert it into one.
