Date Problem

I have a data entry form which accepts different dates for services. I have a
button on the form to post or copy the record to a history table which works
fine. The problem is that once the posting is complete I want the dates in
the services table to be erased from the date fields and prepare for new date
entry. I am unable to "erase" the dates or set the fields back to an empty
state. My data entry form and table still shows the dates. Is it possible to
clear or empty a date field in a table once it contains a date? I want the
date fields to be empty so there ready to process services again.

Run an Update query updating the datefield to NULL (just the word null, no
quotes, no brackets).
