Is there any possibility to have the date when picture was made was printed
on photography?

Naturally there is a possibility.
A great deal depends on the camera and what it does with a file representing
the picture.
If the information isn't there, not much can be done about it.
(Unless you download them to a PC the same day they were taken.)

Yes, look into the manual of your camera.
Usually, there is a selection on the menu of your camera.
It will be something like Data Imprint or Imprint Data. This selection will
be "Off" by default and you have to turn it "On". When you turn it "On" the
date will be added on top of the picture, obviously if your camera has this
feature, most do.

The free software FastStone Image Viewer
has an option to add the date to the face of
an image...it can also do it in a batch.

Actually, many higher-end cameras do not have this option,
since corrupting the original image with a date is unthinkable.

Virtually all cameras will record the date and time when a picture
was taken in the EXIF information in the .jpg file.

There are utilities, I hear, that can use this data to insert a
date (and time?) on the image itself--presumeably allowing the user
to choose a position, font, size, and color. The modified images
should, in general, not be saved over the originals.

Google is your friend. ;-)

I'm running FSViewer 2.6

Please guide me to the add-the-date feature.

I know it'll be a Doh! but I can't find it.

Thanks John

I was getting stumped after the
Advanced Options button / Text tab /
Check the box...Use Text...

Not bright enough to open the drop-down "Insert a Variable".

BTW.........any ideas on why the Advanced Options dialog takes so long to open?

Exactly 30 seconds, to be precise.

LOL! I thought the hard one to find was
the "Use Advanced Options" check box.

No clue...mine pops right open.

Maybe FastStone Support would

Thanks for the feedback on the slow opening of Advanced Options dialog on my
FSViewer setup.

Not really a big issue unless I start to work with this more frequently.

Just wondered if anyone else had reported it.

Just for amusement, I opened FS Photo Resizer 2.2 and went through the same
steps there.

Advanced Options dialog opened in a blink.

I am sorry I had no time to read your suggestions and answer. The same
feature as in FastStone Image Viewer there is also in other viewers for
example in IrfanView. I asked about some software that makes a text addition
to a picture in the process of printing using the information from the
corresponding jpg file.
With any viewer you are to add any information you like to the viewed
picture, save a new file, and then print it. It is sure a good feature but
not the one I wanted.
