Date() Function

I recently upgrade a computer from Windows/Office 97 to
Windows/Office 2000. I then converted a database. That
seemed to work fine however in Access 2000 the
functions "Date()" and "Time()" when used as the default
value on forms no longer work. The "Now()" function
works however I don't want the date and time stored
together. Has the syntax changed or am I missing a dll?
Any ideas?

This appears to be the very common References bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.
