Hey dude? did you ever see this word Help on your menu
bar? try clicking it and typing a question, you would be
suprised but there is actually information there.

Hi!

It's not the reference to another source that's wrong! And I'm sure
that was the intent of Dave's response.

That is often very useful for further information and assistance. To
my mind it is also essential in cases where the solution is borrowed
from another source. And if a Guru doesn't use borrowed solutions,
(s)he isn't a Guru!

But sarcasm is not the way to treat someone who is clearly a beginner.

I'd also recommend that the user might like to download Google Search
6.0 from:

http://www.rondebruin.nl/Google.htm

It provides very easy access to Google Searching and is probably much
better than using Help. You can also download a user gide wot I rote
four Ron in perfict inglish

Now isn't this a better way of providing reference elsewhere
assistance?

There's sarcasm neutral & nasty. Neutral sarcasm making the point to RTFM first
is good advice to anyone of any ability. Many questions posted here would have
been answered more quickly by looking through online help.
