I've got a column of dates in Arial font. The dates are all different
widths, so when they're left justified, the right side of the dates
isn't "pretty" looking. Does anyone know if there's a way to fix
that? The problem is as a result of 1s being skinnier than other
numbers. So, 11/11/11 is much skinnier than 09/09/09 - but I don't
know how to get around that.

Nevermind... I think the problem only exists when I view at less than
100% zoom...

Matthew,

Your font determines how much space a character takes.

A font has either 'fixed' or 'proportional' spacing.

If a font has 'fixed' spacing, every character takes up the same space when
printing.

If a font has 'proportional' spacing, an "i" will take up considerably less
space than a "w".

When I want to use fixed spacing, I choose the 'Courier New' font.

Try it, I think you'll like it.

Good Luck.
