I have a database created in Access 2002

In several forms the users can enter a date using an input mask for short
date.
Example :
you enter 05-12-01 and when you press enter 2005-12-01 is saved.
Here comes an interesting thing I found today.
If I enter 29-12-01 the date 2029-12-01 i saved
but if I enter 30-12-01 the date 1930-12-01 is saved!!!!
Can anyone explain this and how to fix it?

You can fix it by entering an unequivocal date value.

Since the Year 2K date issue arose, Access assumes all 2 digit year
entries from 00 to 29 are 2000 - 2029, all 2 digit year entries
between 30 and 99 are year 1930- 1999.

Change to a 4 digit year entry and your problem goes away.
