gives a #Name? error

Anyone have any info on this please ?

TIA

Thanks Wayne,

On checking the I get an error message telling me that file

OWC10.DLL version 1.1 is missing or has a broken reference

Whilst I can find this file I am not sure what happens when I choose it as I
cannot see it in the list of references available

Do you know if it re-names it to add to the reference list ?

If it's not in the list of available references, try reregistering the file
to get it added to the Windows Registry. This should make it available to be
selected. You may need to close and reopen Access to see the change after
you do this. To reregister the file, use the following command line in
Start|Run

regsvr32 "<path>\owc10.dll"

where <path> is this full path to the location of the file (i.e. C:\Program
Files\etc). On my computer, the full path to this file is "C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Components\10\OWC10.DLL". Doing a
Repair Install may also fix this problem for you, but will take a lot longer
than just using the command above. Also, the listing in the references has
the selected references listed first in order of preference (you can use the
up/down buttons to change this order), followed by the unselected ones in
alphabetical order. When you check a reference and click Ok to close the
dialog box, the reference will be at the bottom of the checked ones the next
time you open the references dialog.

OWC is Office Web Components. If you're not using them, just uncheck it.
This isn't the references that is needed for Date(), but a broken reference
can cause the problem even if it isn't the reference for the function you're
trying to use. If the reference isn't visible on the troublesome computer,
uncheck it in the file on the working computer then copy the file from the
working computer to the troublesome one. This won't work if you need the
