In a spreadsheet I use periodically, a cell at the top is to include a
certain date, which is entered manually. No matter what date I enter,
though, the input is converted to a formula. I can delete and re-enter,
delete the whole row and insert a new one, remove all formatting,
change the data type to anything I want - still same thing.
For example:
I enter: 6/15/04
Excel is changing that to: =6/15/04 and solving for a real number
If I change that real number to date format, it converts to 1/00/00,
being a very small number.
Any ideas? Sample file attached.
Thanks.
