They're supposed to be rated at 4x, only I can't get the smeggers to burn at
more than 1x. This is using Nero6. I've updated it from the nero site
about 30 minutes ago, and still only single speed. Other discs work fine at
quad speed.... Anyone else have problems with these?

Depends alot on compatibility between burner and disks obviously.
Sometimes some drives just dont handle certain disks that well.
Obviously you would know if its a general problem if no 4x disks were
writing above 1x or 2x or if it suddenly started doing with various
brands. Could still be I suppose since we dont know how your system is
but if you can still write at 4x with other brands - and it is a
compatiblity problem , you need a firmware upgrade that might improve
things or get another brand of disks.
