Hello, I picked up a dataproducts LZR 960 being junked. The problem is when
it first is turned on it will print the automatic adobe print test page
fine. But when you try to print afterwards the printer will jam at the
fuser. I've watched it with the cover off and the fuser does not seem to
"light up" when its time to print. It does "light up" every 20 seconds for
about 5 seconds and lights up fine for warm up. It seems to just not
activate the fuser, I did clean the fuser and roller and the wiper has been
repaced. Any ideas? If you need more information please ask and thanks for
spending time on this problem of mine.

Thats what I seem to be finding, parts for these are way to high priced when
I can buy a new Samsung laser printer for $100 (an add this week had a
special). I just wanted to know if anyone had this problem with this type of
printer before. It's a project to waste a day on, get out the VOM and start
measuring. So far by readings with my VOM, I think its just not sending the
"trigger" to warm up the lamp to print, but without a schemaitic it's going
to take hours to days or even never to find where the fault is. Thanks to
everyone who's resoponded (Bob O`Bob, Joe Peach), any more information would
be great.
