Dataimport doesn't work in Excel

Hi!
We have just installed Office 2000 on a new laptop with
XP pro. The problem is that when we try to import ASCII
text (CSV) into Excel, this doesn't work. The same rutine
works allright when we use a PC with Windows 2000/Office
2000. How come ??? Do we need some patches ??

Trying both below first time after reading the Reference.

1. Excel 2002. Cannot paste copied URL in New Web Query
Window. [ See Reference: p 784. Excel 2002 Inside Out.
Microsoft Press.]

2. Cannot select Results of Stock Screener query run on
Deluxe Screener (requires Active X update)on
www.Moneycentral.com. Wanted to import in Excel 2002
after Query.

Will any Office/Excel Update help here? Or any Knowledge
Base article?

Any help will be appreciated.
