For some reason when I open my Microsoft Access 2003, I am told that it is
"Reas Only." I am the only used that has rights to this database, so no one
else is using it. I have shut my computer down and restorted it several
times and always get the same message. How can I open the database so that I
can make changes.

This can happen if you have copied the database file onto a CD or DVD and then
back onto a hard disk; open the folder containing the .mdb file in Windows
Explorer, right click the name of the file, and view its Properties. If the
"Read Only" attribute is checked, uncheck it.
