Can anyone help...

I have a database of news stories on an intranet. Admin
users can add and remove items to the database and they
are visible to all on a 'news' page.

On the home page we add links to go to this page as and
when items are entered. This is fine, the problem we have
is that the link is just to the page and not the item
itself, so when the link has been added the news item is
the most current, but when a new item is added it isn't!!!

We have tried adding the Key Number i.e
...news_interface/Results/news.asp?Key=125
This still only take us the the page and displays the most
recently added item.

Any SIMPLE ideas would be great

Jim, yhanks for the reply..

Think i didnt explain the problem well enough!! what i
need to do is create links on the main page that will open
specific news items from the database within the news
page..your post creates a search on the news page, this is
good but i want to be able to dirrect users to a specific
page from else where...thanks for having a look

Exactly. A link from your "elsewhere" page to news.asp?Key=125 is
equivalent to having a search form named Key (and equalling 125) on
your the news.asp page itself.
