All,
Co-workers and I built an Access database that was located in a
shared folder on our company's LAN. Each of us could open the database and
update records simultaneously. Today, two folks had the database open when
I tried to open it. I double clicked on the database and all that happened
was that the Access application opened; the database did not open. Several
attempts resulted in the same thing. When I asked my co-workers to close
the database on their computers and attempt to reopen it, they had the same
results--Access launched but no database. We tried every way we knew to
open a file with no success.
The database base seems to be there (17 Mb worth) but we can't open
it. Any suggestions about how we can retrieve the database and/or prevent
this from happening in the future would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.
