Database needed

I have a special need, I hope someone can help.

I need to create a relational database to track book reviewers. I'm a
book review editor. I need to have one database with my reviewers'
addresses, phone numbers, etc., and then I need a database of books
I've sent to the reviewers, with date sent, date review received, etc.
It would be ideal to have both databases visible on the screen, so that
when I call up a reviewer's record, a list of books he/she is reviewing
appears. But I don't know if this is possible.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

On top of my head, i think dbworx is the closest you will get to your
needs.
Peronally, i find it a but- ugly interface (don't expect an Access like
interface) , but if you don't care about that, I guess it will do fine.

Hunt up a library management system - there is a free one from New
Zealand, can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it should
do what you want.

Cheers,

Athenaeum Light - that and other book organizer Freeware is listed here:

You may be able to adapt HomeBase or BookTrakker (both for booksellers)
to your needs. IIRC sales and clients can be tracked. . .

I never thought of this. I'll look for it.

Thanks.

there is a VERY small thing called "Little Lists" at
http://www.rkwest.com/downloads.shtml
you might take a look and see if it will do what you want. (Someone a
year or so back wanted one to inventory parts, and found it was fine)

"Little Lists: Database management designed for people who like to
keep things simple. Create exactly the kind of list you want without
any prior knowledge of programming or database systems. Shareware from
Rosemary West. ASP. ESC"

It does require you to enter a registration code, but that was
provided when she decided to make it free.

Gosh, I remember this program when it was still shareware. It's a
flat-file list maker, so it falls kinda short of what I need.

Thanks.

dBworx 2.9 is here

The last time I had a look at dbWorx it was impossible to adjust its
window size, so I got rid of it quickly.

Athenaeum Light -

You can download the following 60 day trial versions of Athenaeum
Light 7:

Does not seem to be freeware (temporaryware?)

It also lists ABE, http://www.abebooks.com/. All I see is a
bookseller's website and books, books and more books, which in itself
is fine of course, but I don't see a freeware database for books.
