Omar

Hi,

I was working on a single .mdb file and created users and
groups for that file. Then I used the security wizard to
create groups. The wizard created a secured.mdw file.
Everithing was fine but when I tried to open others mdb
files is asking whoever use the computer for login and
password. The secure.mdw was deleted and now no one can
use acces at all. The old password do not work and for
anything we try to use access for come up asking for login.

I would like to know how can I reset everithing to be as
it was two days ago where there were no logins or groups
for any mdb file. We are working on Windows 2000 and using
access 2000.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry but I did this backward, but I get into "panic mode"
when no one could open files in access, after reading the
Security FAQ I found the answer to the problem I reset the
system to the original state. Thanks any way for your
attention.

Omar,

Do a search for the system.mdw file on your hard
drive (C drive). Also find the Wrkgadm.exe file on your
hard drive which will probably be in the System32
subfolder. Double click on the Wrkgadm.exe file, then
select the system.mdw workgroup file to join. This will
join you into the workgroup file that you originally used
with your Microsoft Access. The other users may do this
also to free themselves from your old security file
requirements.

I hope I helped and have a nice day.

Casey
