in running a loading macro, after importing data, it closes the splash form
and opens the main form.
Unfortunately, when it opens the main form, it shows only an empty record
set. if i close access and reopen, however, voila, the records i've just
imported are there.
the update time setting is 1 second. odbc, also, 1 second. whats the
problem?

Have you tried ReQuerying the main form after the import?

no, i hadn't.
i'm still having some printing issues that i cannot solve.
if all else fails, and someone wants a hard, paper copy of a record mailed
to them (unlikely, currently, they're exported to a spreadsheet and emailed,
sooned to be upgraded to a web portal)
But this problem really vexes me:

when view/print out a set of records. doesn't matter filtered or not, or
anything else is set/not set.
If i click one of the checkboxes (which, btw, makes the associated field
visible, so data can be entered) it makes the field visible, as it should.
If i go to print/print preview the record, no matter whether any of the other
records had that checkbox on or off, it will print the field as visible, even
if its null. So the rest of the records, having this checkbox not checked,
the records will still print as if it were checked, it just prints a blank
field. Can someone explain this behaviour, and besides making the field's
backround the same color as the form backround, what can i do?
