Hi all.

I'm trying to install xp embedded development enviroment in an Virtual PC
2004 virtual machine.

My "real" machine is an Athlon XP 2000+ with 768MB of RAM
I'm using XP proffesional

I've installed WinXp proffesional in the virtual pc 2004 host machine. The
first two steps of the embedded installation, that is

1)Tools setup
2)Database engine setup

all worked ok.

But when i try the third step (installing the database) i'm getting the
error

netshare
-----------
An internal error occurred while creating the network share,
LookupAccountName failed

The installation program rolls back and finish with an error.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Greetings :)

I have to ask... why? The app is very hungry - at times I have to run it as
the only application on my workstation here - I doubt the performance in VPC
is going to be worth much...

Did you try to install the XPe tools on a non-English version of windows?

Read this (scroll down to "burning question #2"):

There's a shorter solution that should do the trick too (YMMV: I didn't
test it).
Create a group called "Everyone" and add the localized version (for example
"Jeder" on German windows) to its members. No further editing of
permissions or deleting of that group needed after setup finishes, just
install the database and leave everything as is.

You are OK!
That was the problem!
(I don't understand what the embedded team was thinking about to make this
bug...)

Thanks for the tip.
Greetings :)
