database encyption products

we have a requirement that says we have to encrypt our entire database
(100 tables, 20 million rows altogether). we have web apps,
client/server apps, and do a bunch of ad hoc querrying that accesses
the database.

are there any apps that reside on the database server that
automatically encrypts/decrypts data that doesn't require app changes?
