Database corruption

When I open my database I am getting an error:

The database <network path & filename.mdb> needs to be
repaired or isn't a database file.
....
Do you want Microsoft Access to attempt to repair the
database?

When I click Yes, I am prompted for the database password,
then I get an Invalid password message.

Any ideas?

Try the JetComp utility to repair it.
