Hello,

I have a problem with Access 2000 and Windows XP. While I
was working with a form, Windows crashed. After restarting
Access wasn't able to open the database: the error was

"Microsoft Jet engine stopped. Another user is trying to
update the same data."

This is a translation from the Italian message "Il modulo
di gestione di database Microsoft Jet ha interrotto
l'elaborazione. Un altro utente sta tentando
contemporaneamente di modificare gli stessi dati."

I can't access the database tables with any other way I
know (query from another database, ODBC connection...).
What's happening? How can I unlock the database?

Thanks. Sorry for my bad English.

Not sure if this is the problem, but in the directory where your database
file lives (.MDB) you may find a file with the same name but with a .LDB
suffix. You could try deleting/renaming this and see if that helps.
