I have a powerpoint presentation that needs to be updated every month.
Updating the presentation is simple, however displaying the data values on
only the last month is difficult for me to figur out. How can I only show
the data values on the last month of information and not show the prior month.

Without some more information about how the month's data is presented,
there seems little anyone could offer. At least, I would need a
better understanding of what you need before I could comment further.
For example, is the data shown in a text box or a table, are you
updating it manually or via a macro, is each month's data on a
separate slide, ...

There seems to be a need for additional information. Let me please elaborate.

I have an Excel file that contains financial number for my company. There
is a link set up between the Excel file and my PowerPoint presentation.
Within this PP presentation are 170 slides of information. Not all of the
slides are in same format. No macros are used. The data values update
automatically. So going from Feb to March, both totals appear and I only
want March's numbers to appear. The data value appear in a text box. I only
want March's numbers to appear, so I have to delete last months data value
and format the current months.

It's almost like I need a rule that says to only show the data value for the
current month and format the box Arial, 18 font.

Also, is there a way to automatically update numbers from a linked file that
in a starburst?
