Data validation - Listing

Can anyone share with me if we can use data validatio - list to list ou
selection in such a way that, under the list, it will show the codin
and the name, but when selected, it will display only the coding i
that cell. I tried not to use any VBA for this coz I don't want it t
run in Macro mode.

For example,

Listing - A123 ABC Corporation Ltd.
- A124 ABD Pte. Ltd.
- A125 ABE Pte. Ltd.

Assuming I selected A124, I want it to appear in the cell as A124 onl
and not A123 ABD Pte. Ltd.

Please advise. If data validation unable to do it, is there any othe
way we could go about this

I don't know of a way to do this without programming. There's a sample here:
