Data validation - list

Hi

In a particular cell, i have used data validation and
given a list. However, the drop down symbol appears only
when i place the cursor on that cell and not otherwise. I
presently give "choose" as teh first item in teh list so
that the user knows there is a drop-down there. What
option do i need to select to have the drop-down symbol
displayed irrespective of where the cursor is?

Hi akk,

You can't. As an alternative, you could put borders around
those cells to indicate that they are drop downs.

or you could use ActiveX controls, but that is more work for you.
