Question for the MVPs out there.
I have an Excel [2000] Workbook that contains three cells with data
validation enabled.
The settings are to allow a "list" with the source manully entered. ie.
"George Smith,John Eagar, Mick Richard". The In-cell drop-down checkbox is
ticked, but the allow Ignore Blanks is not ticked.
The three dropdown lists work without a problem.
However, when I move the sheet to a new workbook, although the settings are
retained, the "in-cell dropdown" or combo box no longer works or becomes
disabled.
If you save the sheet, turn the cell dropdown off, save close, come back in,
the problem will still not fix itself. Can someone explain this bug and tell
me if there is a fix of patch for it.
Thanks for your assistance
