data to chart

hello
I have a problem in presenting data in a chart
I have one worksheet in which all my data is in rows.
1st set of data in row 2 of Sheet1, 2nd set of data is in row 4 of Sheet1,
3rd is in row 12 of Sheet1, 4th is in row 14 of Sheet1 and so on..
What I want to do is to chart all this data, so I thought to use one cell in Sheet2 to write which set of data I want to use, and in a row below Excel would give me appropriate row from Sheet1
I would then create a chart using this data as data source, so I could choose which set of data I want charted
can anyone help me and tell me how to do this
.... I am lost...
please help
