The help in Front Page 2003 refers to a DATA SOURCE CATALOG task pane. I
would like to add a data source, but cannot find this task pane. I've just
loaded the software, so it should be in it's standard configuration. ANy one
know where this is hidden??

Read the instructions in the Help file! This is copy/pasted from the FP
help file searching on "Data Source Catalogue".

Requires a Sharepoint server.
Add a data source to the data source catalog

1.. In Page view, do the following:
2.. On the Data Source Catalog task pane, click to expand the heading for
the type of data source you want to add.

3.. Do one or more of the following:

Add a new SharePoint list

1.. Under SharePoint Lists, click Create new SharePoint List.
2.. Select the list you want.
3.. In the Specify the name for the new list box, type a name for the
list.
4.. Click OK.
Add a new SharePoint library

1.. Under SharePoint Libraries, click Create new Document Library.
2.. Select the library you want.
3.. In the Specify the name for the new document library box, type a
name for the library.
4.. Click OK.
Add a new database connection

1.. Under Database Connections, click Add to Catalog.
2.. Click Configure Database Connection.
3.. In the Server Name box, specify the server name where the database
is stored.
4.. Under Authentication, specify the authentication method to use when
accessing the server.
5.. Follow the steps in the wizard to create a database connection.
Add a new XML file

1.. Under XML Files, click Add to Catalog.
2.. In the Location box, type the path of the XML file.
3.. Click OK.

If the specified XML file doesn't exist in your Web site, Microsoft
FrontPage will prompt you to import the file into the active Web site.

Add a new server-side script

1.. Under Server-side Scripts, click Add to Catalog.
2.. In the Data Source Properties dialog box, type the path into the URL
box, select whether to run the script on a Get or a Post by using the Method
option, and click the Add button to add the parameters to use when running
the script from a Web page.
Add a new XML Web service

1.. Under XML Web Services, click Add to Catalog.
2.. In the Service description location box, type the URL for the Web
service.
3.. Click Connect Now.
