Unfortunately, you can do little with ranges with merged cells. What the
error means is they cannot be merged effectively. If you look at a merged
cell although it looks like many cells (width) it is actually only the cell
top left. That means in is 'not the same size' as the other cells in that
row.
In short, you will have to un-merge
