Data Sharing with Win98

Hi,
I have shared a folder on a machine running MS Windows 98 granting 'read'
to everyone.
When trying to acces this share for th first time from a machine running
MS Windows XP-SP1, we have to wait about 30 secondes to have this share open.
Any ideas on what the problem is ? Thanks.

Pierre,

This sounds like a name resolution problem. Check the Node Type setting, and
for gratuitous network protocols, on both computers.
