Some one told me, that I could install windows on a new HD and disable the
old ones that are not working right, to gain access to the data on the old
one's.

Then after a clean install re-enable the old ones to recover some of the data
on them. After witch if that works to save data format the bad ones and
reverse the process. Will this work???????

maybe......if the HD is totally fried only a profesional restoration service
might be able to extract the data.
The HD manufact.website usually has tools that let you check the drive..have
you gone there yet???
Other than that its worth a shot...........remove the non working
HD....install new HD....install XP...make sure it works.
then install the non working HD as a slave(check the pins on the back) at
this point XP should detect and you should be able to copy your saved work
to the new HD.Programs cannot be copied over.Once you have everything off
the drive then try to format and see.

If by "not working right" you mean that Windows will not boot rather
than a hardware failure then you should be able to do this. But try
booting from a CD based OS, e.g. UBCD4Win - http://www.ubcd4win.com/. If
that works you can probably copy the data off the old HD via network or
to external drive.

If this is a continuation of your earlier post of 13th you stated winxp
cannot detect the hd's

Usually if you have a raid array there is a raid bios which is accessed
after the initial bios screen its not entirely clear from your other posts
as to whether you actually accessed this option. Often this screen will have
an option to either check the array or rebuild it.

You are sure when you prepared your sata/raid floppy that you used the
correct drivers?

Provided your array/hd's are not damaged you could certainly install winxp
on another hd then recover your data - you may have to 'take ownership' of
the files on the array

Yes kind of a continuation. I have accessed the F10 option after the Bios
screen. As I said before the Raid array is healthy. And I did load the 3rd
Party Driver. Still nothing.

Something I didnt Say before this is that my computer has been up and
running for over a year. It is not like it was a new install.

I am at the point where a clean instll is looking like my only option.
