Hi,

I have formatted my harddisk and reloaded the O.S. I want
to know whether i can recover my old data. The formatting
was done just 16 hours back.

I agree with dcdon. After you have recovered from this disaster,
have a look at your backup strategy. A backup strategy is
adequate if the total loss of your PC (and the room it is in) at
anytime causes you no more than some inconvenience.
