Data lost after system restore

After a major crash and subsequent full system restore I
appear to have all the data files from my original setup
apart from the most important ones i.e. contacts and
calender from Outlook 2000.

Could anyone advise whether I can have lost all this info
and if not where I might restore this data from.

try looking for files with a pab file type. These are your
personal address book files and will contain all of your
contacts that you have stored previously.

I have tried looking for .pab and .pst files and have
neither. What I do habe is a cabinet file called
data1.cab in outlook conduits. Does anyone know whether
this might contain my records and if so how I can recover
them.
