Ok, I just reinstalled Win 2k Pro (SP4) but when I tried
to install the sound drivers for my nForce 2 chipset, the
computer came up with "The data is invalid", and it just
says: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code
28). There are two sound drivers having this problem:
Multimedia Audio Controller and then there is something
that usually calls itself: Unknown Device, but when I try
to reinstall the drivers it calls itself: MEDIA. I read
somewhere that you were supposed to install the drivers
before you insert the device, but i cant take out the
motherboard can I?

Thanks for all help.

In Hardware try removing problem devices then reboot.
Have drivers disk available when wizard starts
