I am having a pop up problem and need help solving it. If anyone has had
similar prolems or know how to fix this one please reply.
A pop up box appeared on my laptop a few days ago after I logged in with the
above title in the blue band.

The message said, To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this
program.

Name: Generic Host Process for Win32 Services
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation

I click the close manager button at the bottom of the box and the send error
report box pops up. It said: Generic host process for win32 services
encountered a problem and needs to close. Then below that the usual stuff ie;
this error occurred on 4/3/2007 at 3:04:16 pm. Please tell microsoft etc.

I clicked on send error report, it goes through the report process and then
I close the box. But then the Data Execution Prevention box appears again, I
tried shutting down the computer to see if it would go away that didn't help.
I tried closing the manager again but this cycle keeps repeating itself, and
this has been going on for the past four days. Please help!!!!!

You could try rt clicking MyComputer>select
Properties>Advanced>Performance-Settings>DataExecutionPrevention>Change the
selection to Turn on DEP for Windows Essential Programs and Services only.
if not already selected.
