Folks:

Trying to copy a 1Gig file from DVD to hard disk using Windows Explorer.
The process starts and runs for 4 minutes (half way there) then shows the
following error message:

************************************************************
Cannot Copy <Filename> Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)
************************************************************

Next, I tried to force the copy by using Xcopy /V /C. These 2 switches
Verify & Continue the copying process.
Again the copying failed.

* Is there some other command/technique that would allow me to copy this
1G file from DVD to hardDrive ?

I can see & hear the content of this file very well but cannot copy this 1
file. Similar files on the same DVD have been copied.
Also, this is NOT a movie, etc where someone would want to use antiCopying
strategies.

Thanks,
Jo.

CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) errors occur when
Windows is unable to read the data off the current medium.
You could try a different DVD drive.
