On an old Microsoft database, I could pull a bar from left
to right across. I could have first name & last name
locked in place and then have the rest of the data move.
Made it easier to enter data on a big database. Any ideas?

You were working with Excel (or predecessor). This function is not available
in MS Access.

If your question is regarding an Excel database, the function still exists.
You can look up "Panes" from the Help menu and that should get you started.
What you want to do is "freeze" them. It's kind of hard to describe where
the Panes are located.

You can still do this if you use your forms in datasheet view. Once your
form is opened in datasheet view, select the column you want to Freeze, then
go to the Format menu and select Freeze Columns.
