Everytime I put a data cd (jpegs) in, XP autoloads all the pictures.
A box comes up saying autoplay and it seems to load every picture. Can
this be stopped.

Also I notice that I can now eject the CD and sometimes dirctcd box
requesting whether cd should be closed or not comes up sometimes not.
Under 98se the confirmation box always requested permission. I checked
and the option to always show eject CD box is checked. Is there any
known problems between direct cd and xp. Vs is 5.10

Yes, open My Computer and rightclick you're CD drive - Click Properties -
Click the Autoplay tab - In the dropdown box seclect Pictures - In the
Actions section click "Seclect an action to preform" - Scroll down and click
"Take no action" - Apply, Ok.

John.

I have already done that. An autoplay box comes on and reads every
file and then closes nothing else happens.

I seem to recall under 98se that the disk whirled for a while but no
box came up. It probably is nothing.
